Film based on 2008 Belgian hit

Wentworth Miller and Eric Stonestreet have been added to the cast of the $15m US remake of Erik Van Looy’s Loft. Produced by Anonymous Content, the film is now set to shoot on June 6 in New Orleans. Sierra/Affinity will be handling world sales. Patrick Wilson and James Marsden also star in the story of a group of married men who have a secret apartment where they take their lovers; secrets emerge when a woman is found dead in the apartment.

Produced in 2008 and scripted by Bart De Pauw, the original Loft became the highest scoring Belgian film of all time, registering close to 1.2 million admissions. Van Looy will also direct the US version. Last year, he also stepped in for a few weeks when the director of the Dutch Loft remake got injured on the set.

The original Loft was produced by Hilde De Laere for Woestijnvis. The Works is handling international sales. Meanwhile, last year’s Dutch remake is being handled in the market by NonStop Sales.
