The British novellist will help curate the programme for the 39th Telluride Film Festival, set to run in Colorado from Aug 31-Sept 3.

Dyer, whose books include Paris Trance and most recently Zona: A Book About A Film About A Journey To A Room, will collaborate with festival directors Julie Huntsinger, Tom Luddy and Gary Meyer.

“I’m very conscious of the honour of being the latest in a long line of very distinguished guest directors at a great festival, but I’m even more conscious of the pleasure I’m already having – discovering new films, re-watching old favourites and discovering if they have stood up to the test of time,” Dyer said.

The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences sponsors the guest director initiative.
