Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg’s Joan Rivers – A Piece Of Work will close the 53rd San Francisco International Film Festival on May 6.

Rivers is expected to attend the screening along with Stern. The film premiered at Sundance and profiles the entertainer, her life, and her struggle to stay relevant in an ever-changing world.

“We’re thrilled to have Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg’s in-depth and unvarnished documentary about this legendary entertainer close our 53rd festival,” director of programming Rachel Rosen said.

The festival runs from April 22-May 6.
