The Film Society Of Lincoln Center and MoMA announced the seven titles on Wednesday (18), which include Joachim Trier’s Sundance-bound Norwegian entry Oslo, August 31st that has just been acquired by Strand Releasing.

The seven selections for 2012 are:

Breathing (Austria), dir Kar Markovics;

Crulic: The Path To Beyond (Romania), dir Anca Damian;

Found Memories (Brazil), dir Julia Murat;

Las Acacias (Argentina), dir Pablo Giorgelli;

Oslo, August 31st (Norway), dir Joachim Trier;

Porfirio (Colombia), dir Alejandro Landes; and

Twilight Portrait (Russia), dir Angelina Nikonova.

“A testament to the vitality of international auteurist cinema, our initial titles set a high bar for emerging directors this year,” chief curator at MoMA’s department of film Rajendra Roy said. “As in past years, the New Directors class of 2012 promises to generate talent that will rank notably amongst the most innovative and influential in the field.”
