Francois Ozon’s comedy starring Catherine Deneuve (pictured) will open the event at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, which runs in New York from Mar 3-13.

The Rendez-Vous with French Cinema is staged in association with Unifrance and the line-up includes Catherine Breillat’s The Sleeping Beauty, Benoit Jacquot’s Deep In The Woods, Claude Lelouch’s From One Film To Another and Bertrand Tavernier’s The Princess Of Montpensier.

Other highlights at this year’s festival are expected to be an on-stage tribute to Lelouch and one to the late Alain Corneau.

“The goal of our Rendez-Vous festival has always been to provide an incisive and broad ranging look at contemporary French cinema and this year’s selection of films is exceptional in that regard,” the Film Society Of Lincoln Center’s programme director Richard Pena said.
