ScreenSingapore (SS) has announced the inaugural Southeast Asian Film Financing (SAFF) Project Market, which will run Dec 2-4.

In partnership with the Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA) and Ties That Bind, the EAVE-led producers’ workshop, the event will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

Along with Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) and the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF), ScreenSingapore and SAFF Project Market will open under the Singapore Media Festival (Nov 26-Dec 6) umbrella event.

SAFF Project Market will feature 10 projects from the Ties That Bind co-production workshop that this year had its first session in Udine, Italy and will hold its second in Singapore (Nov 30-Dec 4).

In addition, it will feature 10 projects selected from submissions with Southeast Asian elements, taken up to Sept 30.

Projects will compete for more than $40,000 in prizes.

The event will also feature the SAFF Film Financing Conference for producers on how to gain investments and tap into grants and sponsorships on Dec 4.
