Korean sales company 9ers Entertainment has sold Rockin’ On Heaven’s Door to Edko Films for Hong Kong and Encore for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Directed by Danny Nam, the film stars Lee Hong-gi from K-pop band FT Island along with Don Lee, Lim Won-Hee and Baek Jin-Hee. Lee plays a pop star who becomes a member of a rock band in a hospice.
Edko is planning an August theatrical release for the film, while Encore plans to release it in Singapore at the end of July. It will open in Korea on May 30.
Meanwhile, 9ers has also picked up thriller Days Of Wrath (working title), which is currently in post-production and scheduled for Korean release in August.
Directed by Shin Dong-Ywup (Wedding Scandal), the film revolves around a convenience store worker who plots revenge on the former classmate who bullied him at school. The cast is headed by Yang Dong-Geun, Joo Sang-Wook and Lee Tai-Im.
