The film picked up the Golden Owl Jury Award at the festival, now in its 24th edition.

Radu Muntean’s Tuesday After Christmas has picked up the Golden Owl Jury Award at the 24th Leeds Film Festival.

The Romanian film was chosen by jury members Kieron Corless (Sight & Sound), Mehelli Modi (Second Run DVD), and Isabelle Stead (co-founder of Human Film).

The festival’s Golden Owl Lifetime Achievement Award went to Taiwanese director Tsai Ming-Liang.

The festival also played host to the Silver Melies competition as part of its genre section, with German horror, The Last Employee, picking up the main prize.

The festival, which is supported by Screen Yorkshire and the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, closes on 21st November.
