Capitol Films has promotedEve Schoukroun to head of sales and has recruitedJames Norrie as its new sales director. Schoukroun replaces Simon Crowe, who has been with Capitolsince October 2004 and is leaving at the end of June to work with new UK-basedsales company Velvet Octopus.

Schoukroun has been at Capitol for five years, most recently assenior sales manager. Norrie joins Capitol at the endof July from Icon Entertainment International, where he had been sales manager.

"We are sorry to see Simon leave the companybut wish him well in his new venture," said Jane Barclay, Capitol's jointmanaging director. "In promoting Eve to run the sales team we recognise thatshe is an experienced sales executive with a very strong track record and willplay a vital part in helping to take Capitol onto the next stage of itsdevelopment."

She continued: "We are verypleased to welcome James to the company knowing that his excellentrelationships with the distribution community will contribute greatly toCapitol's increased activity."

Capitol's other recentappointments are Humphrey Gravell as head ofcollections and Cheryl Chow as financial controller, replacing Joanne Ralph.
