Winners and attendees at the 13th edition of the International Film Festival Bratislava (Nov 4-9) in Bratislava, Slovakia

Pablo Giorgelli’s Las Acacias, which had world-premiered in Cannes Critics’ Week, winning the Camera d’Or, took best feature film and the FIPRESCI award at the 13th International Film Festival Bratislava.

Vincent Gareq won best director for Guilty, Iben Hjele got best actress for Stockholm East, and local Ivan Trojan was awarded best actor for Visible World.

The Night Watchman by Natalia Almada received the best documentary award, and Valéry Rosier’s Sundays won best short film.

The audience award went to David Mackenzie’s Perfect Sense, while Michaela Čopíková’s Dust and Glitter and Zuzana Liová’s The House shared the newly established Unicredit Bank award for best Slovak film as voted by audiences.

Czech directors, father and son Zdeněk and Jan Svěrák received the honorary Award for Artistic Excellence in World Cinema.
