Moviehouse Entertainment, the one-year-old UK sales company, has picked up worldwide rights to Australian action-comedy The Long Lunch.

The low-budget caper is directed by commercials director Antony Redman, who was named as one of the world's hottest new directors by London advertising magazine Campaign. Starring Jeanette Cronin, Ian Bliss and Vince Gil, the story revolves around five crooks who hold up a Chinese restaurant in downtown Melbourne only for the staff to hijack the heist.

Beth Frey, Redman's long-time collaborator, produced the film, which Moviehouse will screen at MIFED. The company's six-picture slate includes Nick Broomfield's Biggie & Tupac, The Rage In Placid Lake, Fear X, Blind Flight and Bye Bye Blackbird.
