I agree. But Screen is a trade publication so will always ultimately toe the line.

I believe the comments about the Film Fund personnel that were removed were entirely accurate in terms of how long they have been in post and their gender, ethnic, social class. That is relevant in terms of how they make decisions just as if there were a more diverse group of gatekeepers in place, the assumption would be that they would make more diverse choices.
