Germany-based sales company Telepool has added Mogadishu Welcome to its sales slate.

The deal was done with teamWorx Television & Film before the project started principal photography in Casablanca.

Roland Suso Richter will direct the Degeto Film/SWR 90-minute feature, intended for TV.

Telepool will handle world sales excluding the co-production territories, France and Italy.

Thomas Kretschmann, David Striesow, Christian Berkel, Jürgen Tarrach and Nadja Uhl star in the story of the 1977 hijacking of a Lufthansa plane by Palestinian terrorists.

Documentary filmmaker Maurice Philip Remy researched the story and developed the screenplay with Gabriela Sperl.

Irina Ignatiew, executive vice president international of Telepool, said: 'Mogadishu Welcome is a production with a lot of potential abroad.'
