European digital provider Arts Alliance Media has appointed Bruce Steinberg to its board of directors.

Steinberg will serve as non-executive director of the company, which has offices in London, Paris and Amsterdam, and provides digital distribution services throughout Europe.

Steinberg most recently served as CEO of HIT Entertainment but is also a former chief executive of Fox Kids Europe and general manager of broadcasting at BSkyB. He began his career at MTV Networks in New York in 1985.

Howard Kiedaisch, CEO of Arts Alliance Media, said: “Bruce’s extensive consumer content and distribution experience will be invaluable and help steer us in the right direction as we continue to grow and evolve as a business and build on our strong market position.”

The Arts Alliance board is led by chairman Thomas Höegh and also includes Nick Thompson, managing director of satellite and media at Arqiva, film producer Simon Relph and Martine Vice Holter, managing director of Höegh Capital Partners Limited.
