In its second year, theShort Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival has thus far registered a 60%increase in participating films over 2004.

Created lastyear to support young creative talent, the market helps in the promotion ofshort films from around the globe.

As of April 26,2005, 617 films were signed up from 50 countries. France, Great Britain and theUS are showing strong interest with 195, 111 and 100 films respectively.

The Short FilmCorner is comprised of a screening room, meeting area and conference room.Fifteen interactive screens are available as well for buyers, producers andscouts.

Each day a round table willbe held between 4 and 5pm followed by a happy hour.
