Screen will be out in force for MediCinema’s annual Movie Walk in London on September 4 in aid of bringing the medium of cinema to hospital patients.

We are not the sportiest bunch at Screen, but we do like a good cause.

Which is why we have agreed to dust off our trainers and take part in a special fundraising Movie Walk organised by MediCinema, a charity which puts on special cinema screenings for hospital patients.

The 10K (gulp) walk kicks off at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Sept 4 and will take in a host of iconic film locations along the way, as well as, we’re assuming, quite a few pubs.

After all, the instruction manual states that the golden rule for walkers is to “stay hydrated” and 10K is a very long way..

It’s £15 to enter as an individual or £100 for a team of 10. To sign up, go to www.medicinema.org.uk.
