Spider-Man 3 broke records this weekend, taking a staggering $176.8m over the three-day period for a total $230.8m in its first six days. Sony's blockbuster played on 16,711 screens across 75 territories and was the highest debut ever in Japan, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, China and Brazil. It grossed $26.5m in Japan, $23.5m in the UK and $18.3m in South Korea. Biker comedy Wild Hogs was down 38% this weekend, taking $4.6m from 33 territories in its ninth week, and Mr Bean's Holiday also fell 38%, generating $4.5m from 46 territories. But Japanese film Gegege No Kitaro saw a 33% increase, despite Spider-Man 3's enormous weekend. Gegege took $3.4m from 339 screens in its home territory. Bridge To Terabithia was also up 87% as it took $1.9m over three days, after generating $1.6m from its UK opening weekend. Because I Said So and La Vie En Rose both re-entered the chart.
