Focus Features has closed its first deals on Saint Ange, the supernatural thriller starring Virginie Ledoyen which is being shot in English-language and French-language versions.

Icon has bought the film for the UK, Vertigo for Spain, Scanbox for Scandinavia and Gussi for Spanish-speaking Latin America.

In addition Focus, which will distribute the film itself in North America, sold the film to Odeon in Greece, Shani Film in Israel, Skifan in Iceland, Shaw Brothers in Singapore, Italia Film in Middle East and LNK in Portugal.

Written and directed by Pascal Laugier, the film is set in a mysterious deserted orphanage in 1960 and is produced by Studiocanal subsidiary Eskwad headed by Richard Grandpierre who produces alongside Christophe Gans. StudioCanal retains rights in France and French-speaking territories.
