Kunikazu Sogabe has resigned from his post as vice president of Far
East/Asia for Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International (CTFDI)
to pursue other interests in the Asian region.
Sogabe, who was appointed to his current post in Feb 1998, has been with
CTFDI for 23 years. He joined in 1977 as an international department
management trainee, was transferred to Columbia Pictures' Japan branch
in 1979 as assistant manager and was elevated to the position of
managing director in 1981.
Sogabe's area will continue to be overseen by Tony Manne, LA-based
executive vice president of CTFDI's worldwide operations.
