Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones has established a new box office record for a simultaneous international opening weekend.
According to 20th Century Fox, Episode II grossed $67m internationally from 70-plus territories, in a combination of opening weekend revenues that included Thursday to Sunday tallies as well as Friday to Sunday figures - including previews.
In Europe alone, Attack Of The Clones achieved a $54m debut weekend, with $17m of that coming from the UK - and a record-breaking opening weekend of $4.5m in Spain.
Australia also recorded a biggest-ever debut weekend with the movie grossing $6.2m in the territory.
Other strong performances came from: Germany with $11m, France with $7.6m, Italy with $2.6m and Taiwan with $1.1m.
Episode II's next openings are set for the first week of July in Latin America, with Japan and Korea to follow.
