Mike Birbiglia’s adaptation of his off-Broadway one-man  show Sleepwalk With Me will open the BAMcinemaFest on Jun 20 in New York.

The festival will screen 20 New York premieres and one North American premiere and runs through Jul 1.

This year’s Spotlight Screening on Jun 21 will feature Benh Zeitlin’s Sundance grand jury prizewinner and Un Certain Regard entry Beasts Of The Southern Wild as well as Sundance entries The Imposter, V/H/S, Nobody Walks and Liberal Arts.

“I’m really excited about the fourth edition of BAMcinemaFest as it may be our best yet,” BAMcinematek programme director Florence Almozini said. “I think we’re refining our identity as a purveyor of American independents with a strong Brooklyn and New York voice.”

Closing out the festival will be a free New York premiere screening of Don Lett’s Rock ’n’ Roll Exposed: The Photography Of Bob Gruen.
