Beyond Films is to handle international sales on director Mike Barker's upcoming feature A Good Woman starring Helen Hunt, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Wilkinson.

The film is a co-production between Alan Greenspan of the US's International Arts Entertainment, Jonathan English of the UK's Meltemi Entertainment, Denise O'Dell and Mark Albela of Spain's KanZaman and Roberto Bessi of Italy's Buskin Films.

Luxembourg's Thema Productions and London's Magic Hour Film Finance and Matrix will bring additional financing. A US distributor has not yet been attached.

The $8.5m film will shoot in Sorrento, Italy for 8 weeks starting November 3.

Written by Howard Himelstein, the story is inspired by the Oscar Wilde play Lady Windermere's Fan. Hunt plays a ruthless seductress who preys on the husband of the young Meg Windermere, played by Johansson.

Johansson recently starred with Colin Firth in Peter Webber's The Girl With A Pearl Earring.
