British horror film Cold& Dark found itself a US distribution berth with First Look Features.The deal was brokered by Hilary Davis of the London-based sales arm ofAustralia's Beyond Films. Previous sales included those to Japan's GagaCommunications, Mexico's Cine, Video Y Television and Russia's BelivenEnterprises.

Directed by Andrew Goth andstarring former boy band idol Luke Goss, the film follows a pair of cops downthe corridors of vice and supernatural mystery. Cold & Dark was thefirst feature to be filmed at the UK's newest production facility South WestFilm Studios, in Cornwall with backing from Paradigm Hyde Films, Future FilmGroup

Davis secured the deal as adirect result of its presentation at the inaugural London sales event, UK FilmFocus held at the National Film Theatre in June.

AtToronto Beyond is presenting Australian-UK co-production Oyster Farmer,which screens today in Discovery section, and on Thursday it will premiere MikeBarker's A Good Woman, starringScarlett Johanssen, Helen Hunt and Tom Wilkinson.
