The best docuentary award went to Kaleo La Belle’s Swiss film Beyond This Place.

Kaleo La Belle’s Beyond This Place has picked up the Golden Horn best director of a documentary award at the 50th Krakow Film Festival.

The winning film, about the different values of an American father and son, was chosen by a jury consisting of Marian Marzyński (USA/Poland), Nati Baratz (Israel), Grażyna Torbicka (Poland) and Martichka Bozhilova (Bulgaria).

The winner of the festival’s international short film competition was Jakub Stozek’s Out Of Reach, whilst in the national competition, the best film award went to Karolina Bielawska and Julia Ruszkiewicz, for Warsaw Available.

The FIPRESCI prize went to the Czech film I Love My Boring Life, directed by Jan Gogola, whilst the Krakow short film nominee for the 2010 European Film Awards is Jonas Odell’s Swedish film Tussilago.
