Max Saidel's new sales outfit Slav International has enjoyed good business with The Last Train (El Ultimo Tren, aka Corazon De Fuego).

The social comedy, directed by Federico Luppi, which was Uruguay's foreign-language Oscar hopeful, was bought by Pandora/Pegasos for Germany and Austria and by Fama for Switzerland. A deal with TVA for French-speaking Canada is pending and Slav is in advanced talks for deals covering Scandinavia, Italy and Benelux.

Saidel, who recently left TF1 International to set out with his own slate, is also attracting buyer heat for Dedales, a Rene Manzor-directed thriller. He hopes to close deals at next week's AFM, where he will also launch The Galindez Mystery, a Spanish-Canadian thriller by Gerardo Herrero, which stars Harvey Keitel and Saffron Burrows.
