Buena Vista International Television, the rights sales arm of Walt Disney, has announced a string of deals at this week's MIP-TV programmes market (29 Mar-2 Apr).

With Russian broadcaster CTC it concluded a multi-year deal covering feature films, series and TV movies. Films covered by the deal hail from the Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films labels and include Freaky Friday, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Veronica Guerin and 25th Hour. CTC took second-run rights to Pirates Of The Caribbean, Bringing Down The House and Signs.

Romanian public sector channel TVR and commercial broadcaster Antena 1 split a package of features. TVR licensed features including Signs, Sweet Home Alabama, The Princess Diaries, Snow Dogs, The Royal Tenenbaums and library titles The Rock and Remember The Titans. Antena 1's schedules will be bolstered by Pearl Harbor, The Santa Clause 2, The Count Of Monte Cristo and library films including Phenomenon and Face Off.

BVITV's Asia Pacific arm licensed an animated features package including A Bug's Life, Mulan, Pocahontas and Toy Story 1 and 2 to Indonesia's IVM.

Buena Vista International Television also licensed a package of first-run and library films to Icelandic pay-TV group IBC. New feature titles include The Jungle Book 2, Sweet Home Alabama, Signs and 25th Hour. Library features include dramas such as Good Morning Vietnam and Quiz Show.
