Vancouver-based production and international distribution company Prophecy Entertainment is launching a theatrical distribution subsidiary for the North American market.

The new company, 4Wall Media, will focus on independent fare while pursuing marketing opportunities online via a branded web-site, expected to launch in the first quarter of 2001. The web-site also aims to provide creative services to client film-makers, including online audience feedback.

In a statement, Prophecy president and CEO Peter Tsaparas said: "With the creation of, we will develop a unique and innovative online environment that will attract quality, creative independent films. The Prophecy/4Wall combination will be a complimentary strategy benefiting independent filmmakers while increasing the company's library of marketable film titles.''
