EXCLUSIVE: Canadian outfit Raven Banner closes deals on Mexican war epic.
Raven Banner has closed deals for Rafa Lara’s Cinco de Mayo: The Battle with Mono Film for Thailand and H.G.C. Entertainment for China, making it among the first Mexican films due for theatrical release in China.
The title grossed more than $1m in Mexico.
The company has also closed deals on fantasy sci-fi Manborg with Eden for Japan, Night Visions for Scandinavia and Elephant Films for France.
Edko Films’ Bill Kong produced, teamed up with XYZ Films.
Film will start in New York and LA before national rollout.
There are ambitions to boost international co-productions from a wide range of initiatives at the leading film market.
