Cannes organisers have announced the line up for the festival’s 2010 short film competition.

Nine films will compete for the short film Palme D’Or, which will be awarded during the festival’s closing ceremony on May 23. Latin America is particularly well represented with four shorts from the region appearing in the list, whilst France, Israel, Australia, Sweden and Latvia all have one film in the line-up.

The Cannes 2010 shorts in competition are:
