EXCLUSIVE: London-based sales outfit launches production slate.
London-based sales outfit Moviehouse is forming new production company Moviehouse Productions, with an initial slate of four films.
Moviehouse’s Mark Vennis will run the venture with producer Janice Willis.
The production slate includes post-WW2 period thriller The Traitor, about the trial of William Joyce, aka Lord Haw Haw; The Fixer, a London-set thriller about a conflicted professional criminal; Climber, a 1960s-set biopic about a brilliant beatnik mountaineer; and Army of The Fallen, a satirical take on the zombie-horror genre from Beacon 77 director Brad Watson.
Vennis told Screen: “We’re delighted to be expanding Moviehouse Entertainment’s operations at this time. We see an opportunity to bring commercial and contemporary independent films to the market place and, in conjunction with our sales company, are in a great position to do so.”
