The film is an adaptation of Agota Kristof’s international bestseller about two young brothers living with a cruel grandmother in a village on the Hungarian border during the war.

Young twin brothers László and András Gyémánt co-star in the feature Piroska Molnár alongside Ulrich Thomsen and Ulrich Matthes. Oscar-nominated, long-time Michael Haneke collaborator Christian Berger serves as cinematographer on the picture.

Paris-based Pretty Pictures upcoming slate includes Un Certain Regard’s Omar, Dancing in Jaffa and The Look of Love.
