The UK launch of Curtis Hanson's In Her Shoes this weekend will be boosted by a tie-in with a majorcharity.

The film's 253-siteopening has been accompanied by a celebrity shoe auction in aid of BreastCancer Care.

Distributor 20th CenturyFox came up with the online sale for which celebrities have donated footwear. Many items are signed and have a story to go with them (Diaz's were those shewore to the US premiere of the film).

They will be auctioneduntil November 15 with the proceeds donated to the UK charity.

The highest bidders forpairs donated by Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Elizabeth Taylor (which saw biddingconcluded on November 3) also attended the film's London premiere and after-party with guests.

Hanson's film is the storyof the relationship between two sisters with opposing personalities(CameronDiaz and Toni Collette).

Hanson is among the mostversatile directors with previous work including the thriller The Hand That Rocks The Cradle ($13m in the UK); sprawling noir masterpiece LA Confidential ($12.7m); Meryl Streep action thriller TheRiver Wild ($4.8m); comedy drama WonderBoys ($1.9m); and Eminem semi-biopic 8 Mile ($23.5m).
