Lightning Entertainment has closed a deal for France with Yves Chevalier's French Connection for Leomax Entertainment's psychological horror movie Grace.

The film had its world premiere at Sundance recently and this week played at the Gerardmer Festival du Film Fantastique in France.

Directed by first-time film-maker Paul Solet, the film is the story of a young mother who goes to extreme lengths to protect her daughter Grace who is initially stillborn but mysteriously comes back to life. Two men fainted at the Sundance screening as a result of the film's graphic childbirth imagery.

Produced by Ingo Vollkammer from Leomax, Cory Neal and Adam Green of Ariescope Pictures and Kevin DeWalt from Dark Eye Entertainment, the film stars Jordan Ladd. Solet adapted the screenplay from his own short film.

Scott Einbinder of Leomax and Simon Edery are executive producers.
