Cinema Expo International, held in Amsterdam later this month, will honour Romanian-born British actress Anamaria Marinca with its Excellence in Acting award.

Marinca is one of the stars of Cannes Palme d'Or winner 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days and will next been seen in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth.

'Cinema Expo is thrilled to honour Anamaria Marinca who recently gave an eye-catching performance in Cristian Mungiu's 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days,' said international show director Tommaso Campione. 'Anamaria's career includes extensive credits in theatre as well as television, and if her first film performance is anything to go by, I am sure we will see plenty more of her on the big screen.'
