ContentFilm International has acquired international rights to action thriller Horse, which is being represented in the US by CAA.

Diego Luna, Luis Guzman, Adriana Barraza, and Benito Martinez star, with Annie McCarthy handling casting and more actors to be announced soon.

Deals have been done for Germany & Austria (Telepool), Latin America (Sun), the West Indies (Caribbean Film Services), Croatia, Serbia & Slovenia (Continental), the Middle East (Gulf Film), Portugal (Lusomundo), Romania (Media Pro), Poland (Monolith), Benelux (RCV), and Greece (Spentzos).

Laurence Malkin directs the story of a military intelligence operative, an FBI agent and a crime lord whose lives collide because of a heroin deal in Albuquerque.

Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan and Rosanne Korenberg produce.

The shoot starts in April in New Mexico.

Jamie Carmichael, president of ContentFilm International said: 'We've been looking for a really smart action film for ages and Horse delivers both the opportunity for award winning performances alongside full on, commercial action.'

Schiff added: 'I think Horse is a great combination of textured, mature character writing and high intensity action. It's a very potent, exciting piece of work. We couldn't be happier about how the project has come together.'
