Lars von Trier's Dancer In The Dark will open the 29th International Belgrade Film Festival, FEST (February 1-10), optimistically dubbed "Life Again, Fest Again" after the October changes in Serbia.

Altogether the festival will feature 99 films including Jafar Panahi's The Circle, Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia, the Coen Brothers' O Brother, Where Art Thou' and Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The guest list so far includes Panahi, UK director Julian Temple and Austrian director Goran Rebic.

In contrast to Belgrade's Festival of Films D'Auteurs, which took place last November and appealed mostly to university students and film buffs, FEST reaches a far wider audience although it remains a non-competitive event.
