For his third feature Simon Staho is rounding up an impressive cast of Danish film andtheatre actors. The shoot of DaisyDiamond is scheduled to begin on May 22.

The romantic drama stars Sofie Grabol (Accused), Trine Dyrholm(A Soap), Sonja Richter (Open Hearts) and Jens Albinus among others. Albinus willalso star in Lars von Triers' forthcoming The Boss Of It All.

The film is about Anna, whomoves to Copenhagen to follow her dream of becoming an actress butbecomes pregnant. Daisy Diamond willpremiere in Denmark in February 2007.

Daisy Diamond is supported with $1m (Euros 800,000) from the Danish Film Institute.The main producer is XX-Film in co-production with Tju-BangFilm, Zentropa Entertainments and Swedish Sonet Film.

Simon Stahopreviously directed two tough dramas starring Sweden's MikaelPersbrandt: Dayand Night and Bang Bang Orangutang.
