Universal Pictures International Entertainment (UPIE) has announced the appointment of David Moscato as Managing Director of Universal Pictures Italy.

Moscato, who previously worked with Ingram Micro Inc, and Microsoft, was Logitech Europe's Regional Director from November 2007, managing teams in Italy, Malta and North Africa.

He will now be responsible for Universal's home entertainment operations in Italy, looking after Universal Pictures Italy's base in Rome as well as its Milan sales office.

Moscato will report to Dirk Lisowsky, Regional Managing Director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iberia and Italy.
