The highly anticipated feature debut from Nikolaj Arcel, Kings' Game (Kongekabale), dealt awinning hand at the top of the Danish box-office chart this weekend with astrong DKK2,3m gross and DKK39,692 screen average on its 60 prints.

The critically praised film has been a hot item in the mediafor the last month, in part because it is the first political thriller made inDenmark for some 20 years.

As expected it pushed the other local hit, Susanne Bier's Brothers, down the chart 25% after sixweeks to fourth, after the new release of Disney's Home On The Range.

This week's two new art-house releases were less successful,as Whale Rider opened 20th grossingjust DKK22,334 from six prints while TakeMy Eyes on 23rd took DKK16,620 from just one.
