Toronto-based eOne and California’s Image Entertainment have renewed their exclusive distribution agreement of Image product for theatrical, home entertainment, television and digital release in Canada, through 2015.
eOne has distributed for Image in Canada for the past five years. “We are thrilled to be extending our relationship with Image Entertainment as well as bringing the Image/Madacy Home Entertainment line into the mix,” eOne Films Canada co-president David Reckziegel said. Image/Madacy titles include classic television, documentaries and stand-up comedy.
The extended agreement covers includes new Image titles and the company’s entire library of film, television, lifestyle and music properties. This includes the critically acclaimed Criterion Collection and its upcoming releases of Terry Gilliam’s Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas (pictured) and Brazil as well as Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless.
Image chairman/CEO Ted Green, said: “The extension of this agreement is representative of our commitment to continue offering quality product across all platforms in Canada.”
