Lionsgate’s genre label Grindstone takes US rights to The Sword Identity and SeeFood.

Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired all North American rights to The Grandmasters writer Xu Haofeng’s martial arts-action The Sword Identity.

The deal was negotiated by Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb of Grindstone and Clarence Tang of Golden Network.

The US outfit has also picked up rights to Aun Hoe Gou’s popular English-language animation SeeFood from Golden Network.

Hong Kong-based Golden Network is giving a market debut to Bangkok Kung Fu and a first market screening to The Kick at this year’s AFM.
