Icarus Films president Jonathan Miller and dGenerate Films president Karin Chien have signed a deal for the former to release dGenerate’s Chinese catalogue in the US.
Since its inception in 2008 dGenerate Films has established itself as a leading distributor of Chinese independent film in North America
The dGenerate collection will continue as a label distributed by Icarus Films and it is anticipated that at least five new films will be released each year.
Fiction feature films will become a specialised label released by Icarus Films Home Video, while documentaries will be integrated with Icarus Films’ established non-theatrical channels and collections, where Icarus Films is already a leading distributor of documentary films from and about Asia.
The new films will be released to all markets, from theatrical through television, non-theatrical, and home entertainment, including online.
