German sales agent M-Appeal picks up José Luis Torres Leiva’s drama
Verano, Leiva’s second feature after El Cielo, La Lluvia y la Terra, which was awarded the FIPRESCI prize at Rotterdam in 2008, explores a day in the life of visitors and workers at a thermal resort in Chile.
Produced by Alicia Scherson (La Ventura), the film gets its world premiere in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival next month.
The upcoming features star Ko A-sung of ‘Because I Hate Korea’ and Woo Do-hwan of Netflix series ‘Bloodhounds’.
Feature is latest under film partnership between streamer and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin.
