Martina Ternstrom has joined UK distributor Revolver as acquisitions executive; Panizzo promoted; Lucy Taylor gets new role.

Ternstrom, who previously worked at The Works UK Distribution, New York-based Magnolia Pictures and most recently at Metrodome, said of the move: “When the opportunity came up to join the business, I was excited for the chance to work within a team and company renowned for their creativity, innovative campaigns and most importantly, obvious passion about the movies they release. I am thrilled to be a part of one of today’s most exciting film distributors in the UK. I am looking forward to working with such a talented group and hope to add more to their already great catalogue of releases.”

Lucy Taylor, who previously held Ternstrom’s role, has become the outfit’s New Zealand-based Australia and New Zealand consultant.

In another internal move, Eduardo Panizzo, who recently acquired the rights to The Samaritan and Freerunner and has worked across the acquisitions of several of Revolver’s most successful titles, has been promoted to acquisitions manager.

Revolver’s head of acquisitions Dave Bishop commented: “We are delighted to have Martina on board who brings with her, a wealth of impressive industry experience and relationships. I am equally pleased with the promotion of Eduardo to acquisitions manager; Eduardo has been an integral part of the Revolver acquisitions programme for several years now and thoroughly deserves this recognition. I feel very strongly that we now have one of the strongest acquisitions teams in the industry and look forward to working with Martina and Eduardo to expand the Revolver distribution slate.”
