Roman Kopelevich has bulked up his sales roster with Sacrilege to be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and comedy-horror Hell Baby.
Sacrilege will take place against the backdrop of the eruption of satanic cults in the 1980s as a family take back their son after he was kidnapped and brainwashed by one such group. However the cult has followed the family to a remote cabin as they attempt to deprogramme him with the help of a professional.
Rick Dugdale of Enderby Entertainment is producing through Enderby’s horror division Tony-Seven Films, alongside Sean E DeMott through Execution Style Entertainment and Chris M Bonifay through Limb From Limb Pictures.
“Sacrilege is one of the most intense and macabre scripts I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I am through the roof to finally be making it and having Red Sea in my corner selling it,” said Bousman.
Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon wrote and directed Hell Baby [pictured], which premiered in Cannes earlier this year and follows an expectant couple who move in to a fixer-upper in New Orleans and call upon an elite Vatican exorcism team when they learn the home is possessed,
The Darko Entertainment film was produced by Jeff Culotta, Ted Hamm, Sean McKittrick and Peter Principato and stars Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb, Riki Lindhome, Rob Huebel, Michael Ian Black, Paul Scheer, Keegan Michael Key, Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon
