Kandor Graphics behind the $28m animated feature.
Sony has set a Spanish release date of August 23, 2013 for animated feature Justin and the Knights of Valour.
This $28m feature is produced by Kandor Graphics, Kerry Fulton and Antonio Banderas.
The film is directed by Manuel Sicilia, Oscar-nominated producer of the short animation film The Lady and The Reaper. The English-language voice cast includes Antonio Banderas, Freddie Highmore, Saoirse Ronan, Alfred Molina, Mark Strong and Rupert Everett. The Spanish-language cast is set to be announced and it will also have Banderas on board.
Justin and the Knights of Valour has already been sold to over 120 territories, including UK, China or Russia. The film is currently on post production in Andalusia. Allwood Meditearráneo Producciones is involved in the production and has finance from Green Moon, Junta de Andalucia and Banco Mare Nostrum.
Justin and the Knights of Valour tells the story of a young man who dreams about being a knight in the middle age. He lives in a country dominated by bureaucrats and wants to restore the glory of his grandfather, a distinguished knight who was killed by the evil Sir Heraclio. Its marketed as an adventure “full of joy, action and emotion in a story that crosses friendship, honour and courage.”
