Annemarie Jacir’s drama gets its world premiere in Toronto.
The Match Factory has secured worldwide rights to Palestinian Foreign Language Oscar entry When I saw You by Annemarie Jacir.
When I Saw You, produced by Ossama Bawardi for Philistine Films, follows an eccentric 11-year-old boy who runs away from a Palestinian refugee camp in search for freedom.
Jacir’s Salt of the Sea premiered in Cannes in 2008 and was also a Palestinian entry for Best Foreign Language Film.
