Douglas Wick, the producerof Columbia Pictures' summer release Stuart Little 2, has been named 2002 producer of the year byexhibitors' convention ShoWest. Wick will receive the award at theconvention's gala awards banquet in Las Vegas on March 7.

Wick's credits includeRidley Scott's Gladiatorfor which he won an Oscar for Best Picture, Tony Scott's Spy Game, Mike Nichols' Wolf and Working Girl, Paul Verhoeven's Hollow Man, James Mangold's Girl, Interrupted and Rob Minkoff's Stuart Little. He is currently working on a live action version ofPeter Pan and the film of ArthurGolden's Memoirs Of A Geisha.

He joins other honorees inVegas including Steven Spielberg, Nicole Kidman, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez,Chris Tucker, Josh Hartnett, Naomi Watts, Marisa Tomei and Julian Fellowes.
