Paramount Pictures’ Eben Davidson will add acquisitions to his current duties as he takes on the post of VP Acquisitions and Production.

The move was announced by Paramount’s Film Group President Adam Goodman. In his expanded role, Davidson will be in charge of acquiring films for distribution, as well as pursuing remake rights.

“Eben has an innate sense of what we’re looking for, both in terms of pictures to pick up, and filmmakers to target,” said Goodman. “We can’t wait to see what he does with these new responsibilities.”

Davidson, who is a longtime Paramount production executive, will continue to report to Goodman and Paramount’s President of Production Marc Evans.
