The event will run from 26 to 29 January 2012 at BFI Southbank.
Writer-director Edgar Wright is to receive the first LoCo Hero award at the inaugural London Comedy Film Festival, which takes place January 26-29.
Wright will introduce his own zombie hit Shaun of the Dead which will play in a double bill alongside Mike Leigh’s Life is Sweet, followed by a Q&A.
As part of the festival, which takes place during the officially most depressing week of the year, there will be a special preview of The Muppets as well as a UK preview of The Fairy, the Belgian-French feature which played at the London Film Festival.
The festival is an initiative of not for profit organisation LoCo.
